Kanani Titchen M.D. is a doctor and an Adolescent Medicine fellow at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Bronx, New York. She is also a writer, public speaker and a passionate advocate and activist for sex trafficking victims and survivors.
In this TEDX talk, Titchen describes how she first began to recognize victims of sex trafficking among her patients and how she became more and more aware of the full scope of the crisis. She created and is the Executive Director of Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans (PATH), an initiative of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA). PATH is geared toward providing information and resources to medical professionals.
