Modern Slave is a short narrative film about a young girl who is trapped in the commercial sex trade.  Dan Sima, co-writer and producer of the film, and Spencer Currie, co-writer and director of the project explore the apparent paradox, “How can the cage door be open but someone still be trapped inside?”

A message from Dan Sima:

Thank you for all the love and support during our 2018 film festival run. We started our journey in July, so we’re about half way through.

Plenty more to come in 2019!!

Check out some of our recent awards and pics.

A huge shout out to our very own Mair Flores and Jack Gilpatrick for the big wins at the Studio City International Film Festival.

We were also given an honorary Social Justice Award.

We just found out we were also selected for the Pasadena International Film Festival as well as the Human Trafficking Awareness Film Festival.

We’ll provide screening information on Facebook and Instagram.

Last but definitely not least, here is our official trailer if you haven’t seen it yet.
